The ROPEX Resistron RES-5012 controller utilizes microprocessor technology for sensorless, closed-loop control of impulse heating elements. The ROPEX RES-5012 is designed for simple plug-in system integration.

The ROPEX Resistron RES-5012 contains the following funtions and features:

ROPEX RES-5012 Standard Functions:

• Micro-USB interface for ROPEX visual®

• Automatic zero calibration (AUTOCAL)

• Automatic optimization (AUTOTUNE)

• Automatic frequency adjustment

• Automatic phase angle compensation (AUTOCOMP)

• Automatic configuration of the secondary voltage and current ranges (AUTORANGE)

ROPEX RES-5012 Features:

• EtherCAT interface for controlling all controller functions (2x RJ-45)

• Eight channels for administration of various values

• Booster output

• Electrically isolated 0…10 VDC analog output for ACTUAL temperature

• Setpoint selection with 0…10 VDC analog input or potentiometer

• 24 VDC control signals for START, AUTOCAL and RESET

• Wide voltage range for the use of 110…480 VAC

• Selectable heatseal band temperature range (up to 500°C)

• Selectable heatseal band alloy (A20 (Alloy-20), A20L, Low-Ex, etc. ...)

• Fault output and indication (LED) with error diagnostics
